Fit by nature

In the context of the “chantiers nature – Fit by nature”, Life Orchis is coorganiser of the action dry grasslands and orchards in the Junglinster region the 11.02.2017. Here you can give a hand on different measures, like the mowing of the dry grassland. The more you can learn how to prune fruit trees.

The meeting place is the parking “monument pour les victimes de la route” in the direction of Eschweiler. Those who are interested to participate are requested to contact Gilles Weber: 29 04 04 306 / gil.web@naturemwelt.lu

Restauration work in Junglinster, Bous and Schengen

In the context of the Life Orchis project restauration work is done in the communes of Junglinster, Bous and Schengen. These works include scrub clearing, as well as the removal of inappropriate forest-tree species. The scrub clearing contains cutting back of vegetation and the reduction of scrub cover. The removal of inappropriate forest-tree species includes the elimination of trees which would not grow on these surfaces naturally. These actions allow a better insolation of the surfaces as well as the reduction of concurrence for the sensitiv species of dry grassland. ►

Report Chantier intercommunautaire

The intercommunity work-camp, which tock place from 30.09. to 02.10, inspired around 30 nature lovers from Belgium and Luxembourg. The scrub clearing and evacuation measures were done in the Junglinster area. The surface of “Scheddelbierg” was prepared in advance in order to be able to work as effective as possible. Overall a surface of about 330 a has been cleared from sloes and mowed grass has been gathered. The workcamp can be considered as a complete success, ►

Chantier intercommunautaire

natur&ëmwelt invites conjointly with its partner association natagora et natuurpunt to the 24. “chantier intercommunautaire”, an intercomunity workcamp, which takes place from 30.09.2016 to 02.10.2016 in Junglinster (Luxembourg).

We are particularly proud to organize the second inter-community nature weekend in Luxembourg in order to work together on magnific natural sites in a friendly and congenial ambiance.

Fit by nature

Every year the “Chantiers nature – fit by nature” project gives the opportunity to get to know the natural reserves managed by natur&ëmwelt and to take actively part in nature protection. Further these activities give you the chance to experience a lovely day in nature and meet like-mindet people. In the context of the Life Orchis project, several activities will be organised:
